All 7 Samsung Digital Signage Series Explained (QM, QB, OM, OH & The Wall) — 2026
Samsung digital signage decoded: what each series is for — QM, QB, OM, OH, VH videowall, PM, and The Wall — with a decision tree, real prices, and links to every model review.
On this page
Samsung's commercial lineup is the best-selling signage hardware in the US — and its naming (QM43C, OH55A-S, OM55N-DS, VH55T-E…) is impenetrable until someone sorts it by job. That's this page: the hub that decodes every series, links every model we've reviewed, and gives you the 30-second decision tree. We're a Samsung Authorized Reseller and installer — roughly 10,000 screens live — so this is the sorting we do on real quotes daily.
The 30-second decision tree
- Indoor, customer-facing, long hours → QM-series (the default)
- Indoor, lighter duty or budget → QB-series
- Behind glass / sun-facing → OM-series high-brightness
- Outdoor, exposed to weather → OH-series
- Tiled videowall (bezels acceptable) → VH-series
- Seamless large-format → The Wall (dvLED)
QM-series — the 24/7 workhorse
The default answer for most signage: 4K, 500 nits, 24/7 duty rating, slim chassis, Tizen smart signage built in. The current QMC generation spans 32″–98″. Start with the sizes we deploy most — QM43C (menu boards, directories), QM50C, QM55C (lobbies, retail), QM65C, QM75C (conference rooms), and QM85C. Generation background in the QMC overview and QMC vs QBR vs QMR; installation specifics in QMC installation & optimization; where to buy in the QMC buying guide.
QB-series — the value tier
Same family look, lighter duty rating and brightness, lower price. Right for conference rooms, internal comms, and screens on business-hours schedules. If it faces customers or runs past 16 hours, step up to QM — the lifespan math wins.
OM-series — windows and sun
2,500–3,000+ nit high-brightness panels engineered for glass: storefront windows, sun-facing lobbies, real-estate grids. Includes double-sided units serving sidewalk and interior at once. Reviews: OM55B, OM55N-DS double-sided, OM75A. Full context in the window displays guide.
OH-series — fully outdoor
IP-rated, sealed, high-brightness, thermally managed for open weather: drive-thru menu boards, exterior walls, transit. Reviews: OH55A-S and the OH55F/OH46F line with its installation guide. Environment planning in the outdoor signage guide.
VH-series — LCD videowall tiles
Slim-bezel tiles built to seam into 2×2 and larger walls — the budget-conscious route to big formats where thin bezel lines are acceptable. Review: VH55T-E; the build process in how to create a video wall.
PM-series and specialty panels
Slim-bezel specialty commercial panels for design-led installs and tight spaces — see PM43H — alongside legacy commercial lines we still service (UH55F-E, UM55H-E).
The Wall — direct-view LED
Seamless dvLED for large-format: modular micro-LED with the all-in-one 146″ as the turnkey entry. Our The Wall All-in-One 146″ review covers it; pricing context across the whole category in LED video wall costs and the brands comparison.
Tizen: the built-in platform
Every modern Samsung commercial panel runs Tizen smart signage — often eliminating the external player. What it is: Samsung Tizen explained; how it compares: Tizen vs Google TV; the software that runs on it: MagicINFO vs ScreenCloud. When we still add dedicated media players: mixed fleets, deeper offline caching, non-Tizen app needs.

The authorized-reseller point isn't sales copy: gray-market Samsung panels routinely arrive without valid US commercial warranties, and the $150 saved evaporates at the first RMA. Frequently asked questions
What is Samsung digital signage?
Samsung's commercial display line: panels built for continuous business duty with 24/7 ratings, higher sustained brightness, portrait support, 3-year commercial warranties, and Tizen smart signage built in — spanning indoor (QM/QB), window (OM), outdoor (OH), videowall (VH), specialty (PM), and dvLED (The Wall).
Which Samsung series is best for signage?
QM for most indoor customer-facing duty; QB on budget/light schedules; OM behind glass; OH outdoors; VH for bezeled walls; The Wall for seamless large format.
Do Samsung commercial displays need a media player?
Often not — Tizen runs many CMS platforms natively. Dedicated players still earn their place in mixed fleets and deep-offline deployments.
How much do they cost?
Hardware from ~$780 (43″ QM-class) to $3,400+ at 75–85″; OM/OH at multiples of indoor pricing; all-in installed packages $3,250–$5,200 per screen.
QM vs QB?
QM: 24/7-rated, 500 nits, premium tier — customer-facing default. QB: value tier for lighter schedules. Past 16 hours a day, buy QM.
