How to use Display Groups

A Display Group is shorthand for “this set of screens.” Build them once and you can target an entire location (“Miami”, “POS TV”) with one click instead of picking displays one at a time.

Open the page

Sidebar → Displays → Groups.

Find a group

• Use Search… in the toolbar, or type into the Name column filter.
• The Number of Displays column tells you how big the group is.

Add a new group

1. Click + Add Display Group in the top-right.
2. Name the group (e.g. Miami, POS TV).
3. Pick the displays that should be in the group.
4. Save. The group appears in the table.

Edit a group

Click the Name to open the group’s edit page (/player/group/{id}/edit), or pick Display Group Settings from the Action menu (right edge). Add or remove displays, rename the group, etc.

Inspect membership at a glance

Click the magnifier icon in the row to preview which displays are currently in the group without leaving the list.

Delete a group

In the Action menu pick Delete Display Group, then confirm. Deleting a group does not delete the displays — it only removes the grouping.

Tips

• Use location-based groups (city / building) and role-based groups (POS TV, lobby, kitchen) so you can mix-and-match when scheduling.
• A display can belong to multiple groups — assigning a playlist to a group does not remove it from other groups.
