What is it

A digital signage kiosk is a single-purpose touchscreen, locked down for one job.

It runs one app — self-order, wayfinding, check-in, intake — on a commercial-grade touch display, mounted to the floor, wall, or counter. The CrownTV bundle ships the Samsung touchscreen, the player, the steel mount, the kiosk software, and the install. One contract. One SLA.

The five modes

Five kiosk jobs. One bundle. Same install crew.

Every kiosk we ship is scoped to one of these five modes. Pick the mode, we spec the chassis, the software hooks, and the compliance work for it.

  • Hospitality

    Check-in kiosk

Guests scan their reservation, ID-verify, and key out — no front-desk line. Hooks into Mews, Cloudbeds, and Hilton check-in flows.

Plays: hotel arrival, vacation rental, co-living, gym front desk.

    Hospitality industry
  • Restaurants & QSR

    Self-order kiosk

Customer browses the menu, builds the order, pays at the screen — orders fire to KDS. Toast, Square, and Olo POS supported.

Plays: QSR counter, fast-casual, ghost kitchens, food halls.

    Restaurants & QSR
  • Retail & Public Space

    Wayfinding kiosk

Touch the directory, get the route. Multi-floor maps, store directory, ADA-routed paths. Updates live from Dashboard.

Plays: malls, hospitals, transit, campuses, flagship retail.

    Wayfinding use cases
  • Corporate

    Visitor management

Visitor signs in, photo captured, NDA accepted, host notified — badge prints. Salesforce Visitor and Cisco Meraki Visitor compatible.

Plays: corporate lobbies, R&D facilities, secure offices.

    Corporate industry
  • Healthcare

    Patient intake

Patient checks in, confirms insurance, signs HIPAA consent — front desk handles exceptions, not the queue. EHR write-back via API.

Plays: clinics, urgent care, dental, outpatient, pharmacies.

    Healthcare industry
  • Interaction is the point.

    TAP

Every CrownTV kiosk is one tap away from the next conversation — with a guest, a customer, a patient, a visitor.

    The bundle

Seven things ship in every CrownTV kiosk.

We don't sell parts. We ship the whole kiosk — hardware, software, install, SLA — as a single line item on a single contract.

    • Samsung commercial touchscreen

Capacitive multi-touch panel from the Samsung QBC-T family (or current Samsung equivalent). 24/7 commercial duty cycle, 3-year panel warranty.

    • CrownTV media player

Drives the kiosk app — embedded URL, React app, or native binary. Centrally managed. 48-hour replacement during contract.

    • Custom kiosk software

Your kiosk app served from Dashboard — single-app lockdown, attract loops, idle timeout, session reset. We build, you operate.

    • Steel floor or wall mount

Tamper-resistant enclosure, security pins, cable management hidden in the column. Floor or wall, your call. ADA-compliant heights available.

    • POS / PMS / EHR integrations

Toast, Square, Shopify, Mews, Cloudbeds, Salesforce, OpenTable. Read-only or write-back. We wire it; you don't touch the API.

    • On-site install + site survey

Samsung-certified crews in 50 states. Site survey first, install after — power, network, mount line, ADA clearance verified before we ship.

    • 24/7 SLA + Dashboard

One SLA covers panel, player, software, and field service. 4-hour response, 48-hour player replacement. Dashboard runs the fleet from one screen.

    Anatomy

    Three orientations

We ship kiosks in three shapes.

Same software stack across all three — Dashboard manages them as one fleet, regardless of size.

    Portrait

    Floor kiosk

    43"

The most-deployed kiosk shape — full-body touchscreen on a steel column. The default for self-order, wayfinding, and visitor management.

Best for QSR, retail, lobby, hospital wayfinding.

    Landscape

    Wall kiosk

    32"

Mounted at counter height — the touch surface lives where the staff conversation happens. Lower footprint, same software stack.

Best for hotel front desks, dental check-in, corporate concierge.

    Tabletop

    Slim countertop

    22"

Stand-mounted POS-companion kiosk. Sits on the bar, the counter, or the salon station. Small, fast, charge-throughrouted.

Best for salon check-in, pharmacy queue, bank teller-side.

    Integrations

The kiosk app hooks into the stack you already run.

Out-of-the-box connectors. Anything not on the list, we scope in the project quote — most modern POS / PMS / EHR systems take two to four weeks to wire.

    Competitive pricing

We'll match any signed kiosk quote on comparable scope.

    • Bring us a written quote from a US-based kiosk vendor — hardware, install, software, SLA.
    • We match the line items — and add the bundled work they often skip (custom UI, integration build, ADA enclosure spec).
    • One revised quote in 48 hours. No haggling. No auction games.

CrownTV is a turnkey digital signage provider helping brands digitize their physical spaces. We bundle three things most vendors split apart: our cloud-based digital signage software, commercial-grade indoor and high-brightness window displays, and a nationwide installation team. We run the whole stack — site survey, hardware, install, content management, ongoing support — under one contract. From a single screen in one location to a national rollout across 500 stores, the playbook is the same.

    Digital signage kiosk — FAQ

What is a digital signage kiosk?
A digital signage kiosk is a freestanding or wall-mounted touchscreen running a single, locked-down application — self-order, wayfinding, check-in, or visitor sign-in. It pairs a commercial-grade touch display with a media player, secure mount, and kiosk software. CrownTV ships the bundle: Samsung touchscreen, CrownTV player, steel enclosure, custom kiosk app, and 24/7 SLA.
How much does a digital signage kiosk cost?
An installed CrownTV kiosk typically lands between $4,500 and $9,500 per unit, including the Samsung touchscreen, CrownTV player, steel mount or enclosure, on-site install, and the first year of software + SLA. Multi-unit rollouts and standard kiosk apps drop the per-unit cost; custom software, ADA enclosures, or outdoor-rated kiosks raise it. Every project is quoted line-item.
Can I customize the kiosk software?
Yes. Three paths: (1) embed your existing web app via a kiosk-locked URL, (2) deploy a native React or PWA app we build and serve from Dashboard, or (3) integrate a third-party kiosk product (Toast, Mews, Salesforce Visitor) and we wire the auth + branding. Single-app lockdown, idle timeout, and session reset are baked into every deployment.
What POS, PMS, and EHR systems do you integrate with?
Out-of-the-box: Toast, Square, Shopify POS, Olo, OpenTable, Mews, Cloudbeds, Hilton check-in, Salesforce Visitor, Cisco Meraki Visitor, Athenahealth, and read-only Epic feeds. For systems we haven't built against, we scope the integration in the project quote — most modern POS/PMS/EHR products expose a REST or webhook API we can wire in two to four weeks.
How long does kiosk installation take?
From signed quote to live kiosk: typically four to six weeks. Site survey in week one, hardware procurement and software build in weeks two to four, on-site install in week five, soft-launch and staff training in week six. Multi-site rollouts run in parallel — we've installed 30+ kiosks across a single chain in under 10 weeks.
    Do you provide ADA-compliant kiosks?
Yes. ADA-compliant kiosks ship with a touch-active zone between 15 and 48 inches off the finished floor, knee-clearance under the screen, audio-jack output for screen-reader compatibility, and high-contrast UI variants in the kiosk app. We document the spec in the site survey and verify on install.
